Henry is the co-founder and CEO of Curacel, the modern insurance infrastructure for emerging markets.

To date, He has raised $3.5 million from some of the world’s best venture capital firms, including YCombinator, Tencent, and Google.

Currently leading a team of 40, He is responsible for setting the company’s vision and mission, making strategic decisions, and ensuring that the company’s sales targets are being met. Henry holds an Engineering degree and a diploma from Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) Africa – a pan-African entrepreneurial training program

Prior to founding Curacel, Henry had led Growth (Sales+Product) at 54Gene YC-funded 23andMe for Africa, with a total of $94.7M in funding and AmplifyPay, Nigeria’s first recurring payments gateway acquired by Carbon.

As 54Gene’s first Growth Consultant for Provider Acquisition, Henry led 54Gene’s sales and partnerships efforts in signing Provider Partners. He led cross-functional teams to formulate, negotiate, and execute key acquisition strategies for 5gene’s provider partner network. Henry identified vital partners and enablers in the medical space and defined and developed their partnerships program.

Before 54Gene, Henry served as the Growth Lead for AmplifyPay’s MTransfers, an embedded banking interface available on any phone’s keyboard. As the Growth lead, He worked closely with the founders to define and execute the sales strategy and. acquisition of top Nigerian banking customers including GTBank, Zenith Bank, Access Bank formerly Diamond Bank, etc.
